Dennis Redmont
Veteran foreign correspondent and senior news executive. Fluent in six languages; work spanning Europe, the Mediterranean and the United States — reporting, editing, commentary and media strategy.

Career narrative
Born in the United States and educated at the French Lycée, Dennis graduated with honors from Columbia University’s Graduate School of Journalism before joining the Associated Press in New York. He became the agency’s youngest correspondent in Lisbon in 1965, covering the final years of the Salazar regime, the 25 April revolution and its aftermath.
In Rome he later served as an AP executive for the Mediterranean, coordinating news, photos, TV and multimedia. His Lisbon reportage — on censorship, decolonization and culture — has since been revisited in a prize-winning Portuguese public TV series.
“Even-handed, unbiased and thorough coverage.” — Columbia University Distinguished Alumni Prize citation
Fluent in six languages, Dennis has written for magazines and appeared on European and U.S. networks commenting on politics and culture. He co-founded AP.Biscom (now APCOM), integrating broadband with wire-service coverage, and led Communications/Media & Development at the Council for the United States and Italy (affiliated with Brookings). He has taught at RAI’s Graduate School of Journalism in Perugia and Sole 24 Ore Business School, and frequently moderates and lectures for YPO.
